Eighth Edition 2006 AGREEMENT FOR SALE AND PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE This form is approved by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Inc and by Auckland District Law. Eighth Edition 2006 AGREEMENT FOR SALE AND PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE This form is approved by the Real Estate Institute of. Ok so lets do the maths. It could have possibly cost 300 work hours to develop the initial agreement and maybe another 100 hrs per year to keep it up to date. So lets allow for 400 hrs* *(Never mind that it wouldn't surely either take that long or that the initial work would be a one off) Lets assume that the lawyer working on the agreements charged $200 per hour for the work, so lets assume an expense of $88,000 per year (which is totally ridiculous). Next consider that there are very roughly 20,000 house sales every 6 months in New Zealand (Based on stats from ) Allow for 98% of those to be completed on ADSL sale and purchase agreement (so 39,200), then allow for at least 50% of all forms that are purchased to not be used, or not turn into a sale that gets registered at Land Transfer NZ. This gets you to 58,800 copies of the form required each year. Printing these forms will cost them about 7cents each or $3,292.80 (Less if you consider how many copies are now digital) but lets allow for $8,000 for printing, packaging and postage. So our total cost to develop, print, deliver (excluding administration) could be around $80,000. Next we have to assume that the froms are purchased by a number of different people in different ways, namely. Private individuals: Say 10% of sales so that's 5880 forms. Another 10% of corporates but non members so that's 5880 forms. Rohff la fierte des notres rar file. And the bulk of 80% of forms to ADLS members (RE Agents and Lawyers) so that's 47,040. So then you have 5880 forms at the individual rate of $50.00 for a pack of 2 which is 2,940 X $50.00 making it $147,000 Then Corporates (Assume they buy in packs of 10 which is the cheapest way to purchase) that would be 588 sales at $72.00 each which is another $42,336. Lastly the members who would also buy in packs of 10 which is the cheapest way to purchase, that would be 4,704 sales at $48.00 per 10 pack, or $225,792. Lets image that this is roughly accurate given that some agents use bulk digital agreement deals but that also some agencies and members won't buy in packs of 10, so the numbers will (very) roughly equal out. This is still average annual income from this one form alone of $415,128 less cost's of $88,000. So a profit of $327,128!!!!! (and yes I know I have too much time on my hands) Last edited by halfempty; at 07:26 PM. Ok so lets do the maths.
